Kitchen Cladding

This kitchen installation involved cladding the walls with 1.5mm thick, Grade 304 stainless steel finished with a brushed surface. The stainless steel was installed across the kitchen walls, including the areas surrounding the hob, extractor and work surfaces.

The sheets were measured and prepared to suit the individual wall sections before being installed on site. The stainless steel panels were then glued directly to the walls, creating a secure bond without the need for visible mechanical fixings.

A significant part of the installation was the treatment of the wall corners and transitions between sheets. Each panel was carefully positioned to ensure the stainless steel followed the existing walls accurately, with particular attention given to the joins where different sections met.

The panels were installed and aligned to create clean, continuous transitions through the corners, with careful attention given to achieving a seamless appearance and avoiding unnecessary visible joins. The positioning of the sheets was planned so that the stainless steel could run continuously across the wall sections, particularly through the corners and around the various openings and fixtures within the kitchen.

Once all the panels were installed, the surface was checked across the full kitchen to ensure the sheets were properly bonded, aligned and sitting consistently against the walls. The final brushed finish was retained across the installation, providing a continuous stainless steel surface throughout the kitchen.
