The Pillar

The manufacturing process began with the table top, fabricated from 2.5mm thick 304 stainless steel. The sheet was measured and cut before being bent and formed to create the table’s clean, structured profile. Careful attention was given to the bends and overall dimensions to ensure the finished top was consistent and accurately shaped.

For the legs, 350mm diameter stainless steel tubing was sourced and cut to the required height. Using pre-manufactured tubing allowed us to achieve the substantial cylindrical form of the pillar legs while maintaining a clean and consistent finish.

The cut tubes were prepared and fitted with the necessary fixing points to allow them to be bolted directly to the underside of the table top. The bolted construction provides a secure connection while also allowing the legs to be removed if required.

Once all the components were prepared, the surfaces were cleaned and refined before receiving a brushed finish. The finish was applied consistently across the table top and legs, creating a uniform linear texture that complements the simple geometry of the piece.

The completed dining table combines a substantial 2.5mm bent stainless steel top with two 350mm diameter pillar legs, creating a strong architectural form while maintaining a clean and understated aesthetic.
