The Over the Edge Coffee Table was manufactured from a single sheet of 4mm thick Grade 304 stainless steel. The construction was designed to avoid multiple assembled sections, allowing the table to be formed from one continuous piece of material and creating a seamless overall structure.

The process began with the 4mm 304 stainless steel sheet being measured and cut to the required profile. The complete table shape, including the tabletop and supporting sections, was cut from a single sheet. This required the layout to be carefully planned before cutting to ensure the full profile could be produced from one piece of material.

Once cut, the sheet was taken through a series of controlled bends to create the table's curved geometry. The stainless steel was formed to create the continuous arc that runs from the tabletop down into the supporting structure. By bending the single sheet rather than fabricating and joining separate sections, the table retains a continuous construction with no structural breaks between the main surfaces.

After forming, the stainless steel was checked to ensure the bends followed the required dimensions and that the table sat correctly on its base. The edges were then cleaned and prepared before the final finish was applied.

The completed table was finished with a brushed finish, giving the 304 stainless steel a consistent surface across the entire piece.
